Crystal Healing Now Part of Inkwood’s Offerings

Greetings, Beloved Community! I know the blog (and Instagram, and the newsletter….) has been quiet for a while – it’s good to have news and growth to share! I have been on a healing journey for years (but has taken up much of the past few months in particular), and have finally realized (yes, it’s taken me this long) that my two most challenging issues – the leftover pain and fatigue from Lymes, and my unresolved childhood trauma – are inextricably linked (no surprise in hindsight). In order to heal one, I need to deal with both.

As I’ve explored new (and old) avenues of healing, I have spent considerable time studying and learning how to use crystal energy for healing. I’ve discovered how wonderful it is to develop relationships with crystal allies, and have come to rely on them more than I ever expected. I’ve integrated them into my personal Reiki practice, and have enjoyed exploring them in conjunction with tarot and intuitive healing. The next step, of course, was to formally integrate and offer crystal healing as part of my services – which is now available! I offer crystal healing alone, as well as crystal Reiki healing and crystal tarot healing, and you can find descriptions of these sessions in the Crystal Healing section of the shop.

The Challenges of Social Media

Social media is such a mixed blessing. I have found tremendous community in the short time I’ve been on Instagram with Inkwood and am grateful for all the wonderful folks I have and am yet to meet. I set up that account with intentionality after struggling and finally banishing FB from my life, and applied the lessons I learned so I could be there with less internal pressure, guilt, and depression. And yet. I still get stuck and end up feeling guilty or sad around what I am or am not doing, and generally avoiding it when I’ve been away for more than a day or two.

When my health tanks (which it’s doing a lot of lately), social media posting is the first thing to go, so that I can still get other work accomplished. And I’ve gotten better about not beating myself up for having such a spotty posting record – I can only do so much.  But. The longer I’m away the harder it is to get back. It’s like this stream that keeps flowing, and I’ve jumped out, and now when I go to get back in – I’m in the same place, but that stream has kept going without me. I will be entering something new. Again. Which is daunting.

So what to do?

A Tarot Spread for Processing an Experience

Processing Tarot Spread

Have you ever been hit by an experience, good, bad, or otherwise, that’s left your head spinning and wondering what the hell just happened to you? Here’s a spread for when that happens, to help you figure out what you experienced, and what you can take away from it. The more difficult a situation, often the more important it is that we reflect back on it and figure out what we have to learn.

These prompts are based on the processing sequence of questions adventure-based educators (which I still use) when helping their participants learn and grow from challenging experiences. You can use this for dream interpretation, processing an important or intriguing event, reflecting on a meditative or trance experience, or any other time you need to figure out what just hit you. Enjoy!

Dealing with Toxic People

It happens, Beloved Community – toxic people are out there and occasionally we have to deal with them in our lives. The toxic person I had in my personal life (who thankfully is gone) taught me some valuable lessons the hard way. Even still, when a toxic client showed up for a tarot reading last month I was caught with my guard down (because I was hurried), and I suffered an energetic attack, among other things. I had help from my wonderful Reiki Master cleaning up the energy attack (and getting reminded of the importance of grounding and shielding my energy better – it was definitely a rush job). But the emotional healing I had to deal with mostly on my own for a bit.
